Community Ambassador Volunteers
Role Overview:
Our Volunteer Ambassadors are the face of the foundation in the community. These individuals attend local events, share our mission, and help educate others on the importance of heart health and lifesaving skills.
Responsibilities:
Represent the Peyton Walker Foundation at community events, health fairs, and outreach opportunities
Share information about our programs, including heart screenings, AED access, and CPR training
Provide basic CPR/AED demonstrations (training provided)
Pick up event materials from the office prior to events
Manage outreach tables/booths
Return all materials to the office after events
Ideal Candidates:
Strong communicators who enjoy engaging with the public
Passionate about community health and education
Reliable and organized
Heart Screening IT Support
Role Overview:
Heart Screening IT Support play a critical behind-the-scenes role in ensuring our screenings run smoothly and efficiently. They set up the day before the screening. Connect the network and Wi-Fi to the EKG machines to the printer. Make sure the technology functions during the screening.
Responsibilities:
Assist with event setup the day before screenings
Support full-day screening operations
Manage EKG equipment and ensure proper function
Assist with wireless transmission and uploading of screening data
Troubleshoot minor technical issues during screenings
Help maintain smooth flow between screening stations
Requirements:
Availability both the day before and the day of screenings
Comfortable with technology and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Office Support Volunteers
Role Overview:
Office volunteers help keep our operations running smoothly and support our outreach efforts behind the scenes.
Responsibilities:
Data entry and database updates
Writing thank-you cards to donors and partners
Preparing materials for events and training
General administrative support
Ideal Candidates:
Detail-oriented and organized
Comfortable with basic computer tasks
Enjoy supporting mission-driven work
Heart Screening Event Volunteers (Day-Of Support)
Role Overview:
These volunteers help facilitate the flow and success of our heart screening events.
Responsibilities:
Assist with event setup and breakdown
Guide participants through screening stations
Support registration and check-in
Ensure stations run efficiently and on schedule
Heart Screening Medical Volunteers (Vitals Station)
Role Overview:
We welcome medically trained volunteers to assist in our screenings.
Responsibilities:
Take vitals (blood pressure, heart rate, etc.) at screening stations
Support medical staff and ensure accurate data collection
Preferred Background:
Retired nurses, current healthcare professionals, or medically trained individuals
Event & Fundraising Committee Volunteers
Role Overview:
Support the planning and execution of fundraising events that fuel our mission.
Responsibilities:
Assist in event planning committees
Help secure sponsors, auction items, or partnerships
Support event logistics and promotion
Volunteer at events as needed
Ideal Candidates:
Organized, creative, and collaborative
Interested in event planning or nonprofit fundraising
CPR/AED Instructors (Part-Time – Stipend-Based)
Role Overview:
We are seeking individuals interested in teaching lifesaving skills through CPR and AED certification courses.
Responsibilities:
Lead CPR/AED certification classes in the community
Deliver engaging, hands-on training experiences
Represent the foundation professionally
What We Offer:
Paid stipend per class
Full training provided for new instructors (we cover certification costs)
Option to transition existing instructors into our program with minimal onboarding
Ideal Candidates:
Passion for teaching and public safety
Comfortable presenting to groups
Current instructors OR individuals willing to be trained
