Thanks to a generous grant from the PA Department of Community and Economic Development, we are bringing the 4 Minute Community to Dauphin County.

Currently deployed in Cumberland County with 300 volunteers equipped with Avive AEDs, the goal of the 4-Minute Community is to increase survival rates of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest by reducing time to defibrillation to well before first responders arrive on scene—ultimately within 4 minutes of a call being made to 911.

“These devices are designed to be used by people who have never been trained on an AED. The device displays a map so the volunteer can take the AED to the person in cardiac arrest and save their life. A person’s best chance of survival is a nearby civilian who can help,” says Avive Solutions Vice President of Strategy & Business Development Meir Berkman.
